Yet another Indian Air Force C 17 Globemaster, landed in Colombo today with 65 tonnes load, bringing Bailey Bridge units to CycloneDitwah hit Sri Lanka. The aircraft also brought an excavator and a 13 member Engineering Corps of ADGPI - Indian Army to help assist in the construction of the Bailey Bridges.
India swiftly responded to Sri Lanka's request to help restore connectivity along major roads, where bridges have been washed away or damaged in the aftermath of the Cyclone.
